What MRI scans do we offer?
Full-body MRI – read more here MRI scans MRI scan of the head/brain - shows brain tissue, brain cavity, possibly the blood vessels of the brain and the meninges MRI scan of the entire back , including the neck, thoracic spine and lower back can show disc herniation, disease in the spinal cord and other conditions where the spinal cord and nerve roots are pinched. In addition, the spread of cancer (metastases) to bones can be seen as well as the extent of any cancerous nodules in bone tissue and soft tissue. MRI scan of arms and legs, including shoulder, elbow, fingers, hand and wrist, pelvis, hip joint, knee, both legs, foot and ankle, Achilles tendons shows fat, muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, blood vessels, bones, and bone marrow. Damage to the soft tissues is clearly visible on MRI. MRI scan of the jaw joint MRI scan of the neck and carotid vessels MRI scan of the chest/lungs shows lymph glands, the width of the heart, protrusions on the main artery and possibly cancer nodules down to 4 mm in the lung tissue MRI scan of upper and lower abdomen shows soft tissue organs such as liver, pancreas, spleen, adrenal glands, kidneys, bladder, intestine, blood vessels and lymph glands

Have a pacemaker Have a neurostimulator Have a vascular clip on a vein in the brain that was inserted before the year 2000 Are pregnant in the first trimester Are unable to lie still during scanning Have severe claustrophobia. In mild claustrophobia, a sedative pill may be offered before the examination.
